Medical Education Grants  &Charitable Contributions

Bristol-Myers Squibb's mission is to extend and enhance human life. To help achieve that mission, Bristol-Myers Squibb has established a Grants and Charitable Giving program to support medical, scientific, educational, and healthcare-related philanthropic initiatives.

Grants
Grants may be available to support medical education programs, scientific conferences, development of health care publications and other educational and scientific activities. Grants may be awarded for the funding of specific projects or activities, or a series of programs that occur over a specified period of time. Bristol-Myers Squibb does not make grants in support of non-scientific or non-educational programs.

Charitable Giving
Bristol-Myers Squibb has established a Charitable Giving program to:

  • Address health disparities which arise due to differences in healthcare that occur by gender, race or ethnicity, education or income, disability, living in rural localities, or sexual orientation.
  • Demonstrate conscientious citizenship in support of worthwhile causes and activities in the geographic communities where we live and work and the healthcare communities in the world we serve.

Through its Charitable Giving program, Bristol-Myers Squibb supports both Charitable Donations and other types of Corporate Giving. Charitable Donations are made in support of the general mission/activities of non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations. Other types of Corporate Giving are provided to support specific activities of healthcare-related and/or scientific organizations and entities.

Policy Statement
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company will consider supporting Independent Medical Education (IME) programs and activities designed to enhance the professional skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals, when the program is independently developed and conducted by a qualified medical education provider. Supported programs must be objective, balanced, and scientifically rigorous.
