Meet Our People

“It feels good to ‘give back’ to the program that launched my career!”

Carolyn says the Rutgers Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Bristol-Myers Squibb launched her career. She joined the program fresh out of pharmacy school in 1994. Fifteen years later, her career is thriving.

Carolyn is now a leader in Bristol-Myers Squibb’s U.S. Pharmaceuticals Law and Promotion Compliance area, working to ensure the company’s advertising and promotional materials meet federal regulatory requirements. “The gray areas and nuances in every piece keep my work really interesting,” she says. “I find the work meaningful and challenging.”

“I am also continually impressed with Bristol-Myers Squibb’s culture, which is one that supports people and recognizes them for their contributions,” she says. “I work with Pharm. Ds, nurses, lawyers and scientists, and we’re able to take the best of everyone to move forward.”

To “give back” to the program that launched her career, Carolyn volunteers to help direct the fellowship program at Bristol-Myers Squibb. “I do a bit of everything to make certain that each of our fellowships is best-in-class,” she says. “I lead the steering committee, organize the program and serve as the company’s direct contact with Rutgers University.”

Just as it did for her, Carolyn sees the fellowship program as a way to attract talented people to fulfilling careers with Bristol-Myers Squibb.
