Alliance Management includes oversight of governance activities, ensuring that the governance team works smoothly to make joint decisions and implement those decisions effectively -- and transparently.
The group is also responsible for conflict resolution, helping in fast resolution of difficult issues to keep the partnering process and the asset moving forward -- avoiding "no decision" situations. It also allows the other members of the team to focus on their role in implementation of development, registration, manufacturing, and commercialization.
Our process provides ongoing opportunities for communication and sharing information, including routine contact with partners and regular contact with key stakeholders within Bristol-Myers Squibb, such as the Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, and Manufacturing groups. We also apply technology to streamline communication, including extranet websites for data sharing and exchange. In short, our process represents our unrelenting focus on maximizing the asset and the relationship.
